According to TBR Football, Madrid have taken new measures in their pursuit of Liverpool targets Huijsen and Kerkez. Los Blancos representatives reportedly watched the centre-back – who scored in the win at Arsenal – and left-back at the Emirates at the weekend.

The Bournemouth duo have had exceptional seasons and both are expected to make big-money exits this summer, with top Premier League sides chasing their signature. It seemed that Madrid would not pay Huijsen's £50 million ($63m) release clause but this scouting move may suggest they are not giving up on the Spain international. The pull of Santiago Bernabeu is always a difficult offer to turn down, too.

Bournemouth signed Huijsen from Juventus for a fee worth up to €18.2m (£15.5m) last summer and Kerkez left AZ Alkmaar for around £15m ($20m) in 2023. Now they could be sold for three times that amount.
