It’s remarkable how big a difference a few days in football makes, but Rangers are out of the Scottish Cup.The Glaswegian side cruised through to the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday evening but that might be their last chance of silverware now.They’re 12 points behind Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premiership and they’re now no longer in domestic cup action after Hearts beat them 1-0 on Saturday evening.The Gers were far from their best as they were without Alfredo Morelos because of disciplinary reasons while their defence was once again left wanting.
James Tavernier felt the full force of the Ibrox faithful after the game because of his shoddy defending. His woeful attempt at a clearance allowed Lewis Moore to steal in and then pick out Oliver Bozanic who found the back of the net.

Whether the pundit was being sarcastic is down to interpretation but in truth, it was unfortunate.
Steven Gerrard’s men were without their top scorer and were also without the cup-tied Florian Kamberi.
The way they conceded in such a comical fashion also didn’t help. It’ll be very intriguing to see how Gerrard rallies his men for the rest of the season.
