Yesterday’s Championship transfer roundup discussed Jake Clarke-Salter’s loan move to Birmingham City, West Brom’s desire to bring back Mason Holgate and the potential departure of Ben Osborn to the Premier League. Today’s edition focuses on La Liga interest in a Leeds goalkeeper, the confirmed exit of a Baggies defender and QPR’s imminent acquisition of a Stoke City stalwart.
Sevilla eye Casilla
It has already suggested that there is no future for Kiko Casilla at Elland Road, which has indicated that he will leave Yorkshire this month. According to Spanish outlet Marca, Sevilla would like to take the former Real Madrid shot-stopper back to his homeland. The La Liga club would need to think about his salary, which is deemed to be “important”, but that has not put them off. The 32-year-old only signed for Marcelo Bielsa’s team in January, but it appears the club’s hierarchy have not seen enough to want him to stay.
Nyom joins Getafe
West Brom’s recent signing of former QPR right-back Darnell Furlong meant that Allan Nyom could then leave the club. And that departure has now been confirmed by the Baggies themselves. The Cameroon international has left the Hawthorns to join La Liga’s Getafe for an undisclosed fee. The 31-year-old joined the Birmingham-based club in 2016 on a four-year deal and made 67 appearances for them before spending last season on loan at Leganes.
Cameron signs for QPR
Geoff Cameron had been a mainstay at Stoke City since joining the club in 2012, his time at the bet365 Stadium has come to an end. That is because he has joined Championship rivals QPR. The 34-year-old already spent last season on loan with the Hoops and said back in March that he would like a move back to West London were he to be given the choice, so it seems to be a perfect fit for both the player and the club.
