Everton defender Michael Keane has tipped Yannick Bolasie to be ‘a big player’ for the Toffees once he has returned to full fitness.
Bolasie spent over a year on the sidelines with knee ligament damage before returning to Premier League action on Boxing Day against West Bromwich Albion.
The winger, who is valued at £18m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has since featured in two further matches for the Toffees, including their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Goodison Park on New Year’s Day.
Bolasie was arguably the pick of the Everton players against United as he continued to cause Victor Lindelof a problem in a wide position.
Keane has paid tribute to Bolasie, claiming that the 28-year-old will go from strength to strength as he continues his recovery from a long-term problem.
Keane told evertontv:
“He is something different. You saw in the first half [against United] the way he can take people on and cross the ball from both sides with his left and right foot.
“He is going to be a big player for us. Once he gets fitter and fitter, he will only get better as well. It is a big bonus to have him back. I think [he will be a key player].”
Bolasie has scored once in 18 appearances for Everton since joining the club from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016.
