Mount has had a nightmare journey at Old Trafford since moving from Stamford Bridge last season. The former Chelsea star has been plagued with multiple injuries that have limited him to just 26 appearances across all competitions for United over the last 17 months. However, reports that the England international will get an opportunity to revive his career under new United boss Ruben Amorim.

The report adds that Amorim is an admirer of Mount's versatility in the centre of the park and he plans to incorporate him into his preferred 3-4-3 system. The Portuguese coach's arrival in Manchester during the international break could be a huge boost for the English midfielder, who has just returned to training. With several players out on international duty, the ex-Chelsea star will get ample time to work closely with the new manager.
