In the first half, Bees midfielder Christian Norgaard picked up a yellow card for a late challenge that brought Martinelli down to the ground. After the match, the Brazilian winger vented his anger at the Danish midfielder and claimed he should have been sent off for the tackle.

Speaking to , the 23-year-old said: "I didn’t see that again but in my opinion, in the moment, if my foot was on the floor, then he could break my leg. He said he didn’t mean it – I believe him – but still he could have broke my leg. For me, it was red. I need to see it again to be sure, but for me, it was nasty."
