Former Chelsea player Emmanuel Petit believes it is "not a good idea" for the Blues to sign Garnacho as he hasn't improved as a player, and the Frenchman didn't like his "behaviour" during United's recent Asian tour – where he swore on camera and pushed a fan.

He told talkSPORTBET: “Chelsea should steer clear of Alejandro Garnacho, he might be a decent guy but I didn’t like his behaviour on Manchester United’s tour. He is showing frustration but has had a lot of chances to show his potential on the pitch, but still we don’t know what to expect from him. He gives 100% and shows great commitment, but we haven’t seen him really improve as a player. The mentality is there on the pitch but he hasn’t been improving step by step. Chelsea already have wingers in similar situations with the same frustrations. Signing Garnacho is not a good idea."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Garnacho is reportedly open to a United exit this summer, amid links with Chelsea, Napoli, and more. The fact that he is an academy product may push the Red Devils to try and move him on, especially after seemingly developing friction with head coach Ruben Amorim.

The 20-year-old Garnacho, whose Old Trafford contract runs until 2028, may have played his last game for Amorim's United but it remains to be seen if anyone will meet the club's lofty asking price for him.
