Javier Hernandez is a fan favourite among the Manchester United following due to his five-year service at Old Trafford. The forward – also known as Chicharito – helped the Red Devils win two Premier League titles during his time at the North-West outfit. The Mexico international eventually dropped down the rankings at United, which resulted in a loan switch to Real Madrid and later a permanent move to Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.Hernandez earned a good reputation at United due to his penchant for late goals in important matches. At the moment, Romelu Lukaku is responsible for being the main source of goals, but after his scintillating start to the season, in which he netted 10 in his first nine outings, the Belgian has struggled for consistency. In fact, the ex-Everton striker has scored five in his last 22 games in all competitions.According to The Telegraph, United manager Jose Mourinho is considering bringing in a new attacking player to be a back-up for Lukaku, and Hernandez is one of the targets. The 29-year-old is having a miserable time in front of goal at current club West Ham United, who he signed for from Leverkusen in the summer. The hitman has scored just four times in 17 Premier League outings so far.Despite Hernandez’s low figures, United fans are keen for the Mexico star to return.
